We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Procurement Engineer / Specialist with expertise in Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) and NQA-1 implementation to support our growing Nuclear Business Unit. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of nuclear quality program requirements and who can source suppliers and manage vendor relationships to ensure the availability of quality products and services, dedication activities, technical evaluations, and compliant project execution in collaboration with engineering and Corporate QA organizations.

The Sr. Procurement Engineer / Specialist operates within the Nuclear Business Unit and interfaces closely with Corporate QA to support alignment with applicable nuclear quality standards, procedures, and governance expectations. They will also support nuclear engineering and structural inspection, NDE, materials, and analytical services programs with a primary focus on Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) and NQA-1 implementation. The individual will also support audit, commercial grade survey, and surveillance activities as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) activities in support of engineering and project, requirements
- Develop, review, and implement purchase orders, dedication plans, technical evaluations, acceptance criteria, and dedication packages
- Assist with identification and evaluation of potential suppliers for products and services
- Support procurement and supplier evaluation activities associated with commercial grade items and services
- Interface directly with engineering, NDE, materials, structural, vibration, chemistry, and analytical teams to ensure technical and quality requirements are appropriately implemented
- Evaluate critical characteristics, acceptance methods, and verification strategies for dedicated items and services
- Support receipt inspection, testing, and documentation reviews associated with dedication activities
- Assist in establishing scalable CGD processes and work practices that support both operating fleet and advanced reactor programs
- Support verification and validation (V&V) activities for commercial and nuclear quality software applications, engineering analysis tools, and digital platforms utilized in nuclear engineering, inspection, and analytical programs, including configuration control, testing, and documentation compliance
- Assist with software quality program implementation and commercial grade dedication activities associated with commercially acquired and internally developed software
- Participate in and support internal and supplier audits, commercial grade surveys, surveillances, and corrective action activities as requested
- Support technical and programmatic reviews of documents, procedures, procurement packages, and deliverables for conformance
- Assist project teams in resolving compliance challenges while maintaining execution efficiency
- Support corrective action investigations, condition reports, root cause evaluations, and lessons learned implementation
- Partner closely with Nuclear, Structural, Materials, Inspection, NDE, and Analytical Services teams to support project execution
- Support advanced reactor requirements and evolving nuclear frameworks
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and technical rigor
- Mentor engineers and technical staff on CGD, NQA-1, and nuclear expectations
- Support compliant execution of work while coordinating with applicable engineering and Corporate QA organizations
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physical Sciences, Quality Assurance, or related technical field
- Minimum of 10 years of nuclear industry experience with significant focus on Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) and NQA-1 implementation
- Demonstrated hands-on experience performing CGD work and developing dedication packages
- Strong working knowledge of:

- Nuclear procurement and supplier quality requirements
- Corrective action and audit processes
- Experience supporting nuclear utilities, engineering organizations, OEMs, or nuclear suppliers
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and technical teams while maintaining quality standards and independence where required
- Strong technical writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced technical environment
- Ability to travel (~15%) to support client meetings, project execution, and audits
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- Previous Lead Auditor certification or auditing experience
- Experience supporting advanced reactors, SMRs, or emerging nuclear technologies
- Familiarity with ASME Code programs and nuclear engineering services
- Experience supporting NDE, inspection, structural, materials, analytical, or digital engineering programs
- Supplier audit, survey, and oversight experience
- Experience implementing scalable QA processes within growing organizations
