Position Summary:
As a Pipeline NDE Assistant Technician, you will support experienced NDT Technicians in the inspection of pipelines and related infrastructure using various NDT technologies such as ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle inspection, and x-ray equipment. This role involves hands-on assistance in equipment setup, inspection preparation, and maintenance tasks. Travel to job sites is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in setting up and operating NDT equipment, including ultrasonic, magnetic particle, penetrant, phased array, and other inspection technologies.
Support NDT Technicians in conducting pipeline inspections and identifying flaws or anomalies.
Prepare, load, calibrate, and maintain NDT equipment.
Assist in examination techniques and documentation processes.
Maintain safe operation of company vehicles and uphold a clean driving record.
Perform cleaning and routine maintenance of vehicles, tools, and work areas.
Complete additional tasks as assigned to support field inspection teams.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in NDT or related field is encouraged but not mandatory.
Must consent to drug and background screening following a conditional offer of employment.
Physical demands include occasional lifting, bending, reaching, kneeling, walking, standing, and moving objects.
Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focusing ability.
Reliable personal vehicle and ability to travel daily to job sites.
Ability and willingness to work 6 to 10-hour days, Monday through Saturday, with overtime after 8 hours on weekdays and all day on weekends.

Compensation & Benefits:
Pay range: $18.00 - $22.00+ per hour, depending on experience
Per diem starting at $150 per day while traveling
Seasonal / Temporary position with potential for extension
