The HR Coordinator is responsible for administrative tasks and projects, covering various aspects of HR, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, benefits, compliance, and other day-to-day operations. This position is full-time non-exempt and based out of SIA’s San Jose, CA office.

The expected pay range for this role in San Jose, CA is $24.00 to $30.00 annually. Exact pay will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition:
- Support full-cycle recruiting, including posting jobs, sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and preparing offers.
- Ensure a positive candidate’s experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Onboarding & Offboarding:
- Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure positive employee experience, including pre-employment requirements, first-day logistics, orientation scheduling, and new hire training assignments.
- Prepare onboarding and offboarding announcements, notifications, and paperwork.
- HR Operations & Programs
- Monitor HR and Benefits inboxes: respond to employee questions and triage other inquiries to the appropriate person/department.
- Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS data accuracy and integrity.
- Generate HR reports and support data-driven decision making.
- Support administration of HR programs, including benefits, leave of absence, and flexible work arrangements.
- Support administration of corporate compliance training through learning management system.
- Participate in HR projects, organizational initiatives, and process improvement efforts.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 – Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills – must be able to write clear, concise, professional emails free of grammatical errors and typos.
- Detailed-oriented with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow-through.
- Adaptable, proactive, and takes initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service-oriented approach with ability to build positive relationships onsite and remote.
